Equestrian Team
Northwestern Stables is home to the University of Pennsylvania’s Equestrian Team. Both novice and experienced riders take weekly lessons throughout the academic year. Instruction is highly individualized, catering to each rider’s needs and ability.
Members can also choose to compete against other collegiate teams, including Temple, Drexel, Villanova, and the University of Delaware, through the International Horse Show Association (IHSA). There are approximately ten IHSA shows in the fall and spring semesters including one at Northwestern, plus the possibility of an individual and/or the team advancing to All Ivies, Regionals, Zones, and Nationals.
Dana Epps, Northwestern Stables, Assistant Barn Manager and Trainer, serves as the team’s instructor and head coach.
